Fundraiser:
Michelle Ciarlo-Hayes graduated in 1998 and proudly wore her Mary Washington splashtop to graduate school at Oxford University where she rowed in the Lightweight Women's Eight. After completing her Masters degree, she returned to the U.S. and settled in Philadelphia where she still rows for Undine Barge Club on Boathouse Row. She has been an avid photographer for nearly a decade, and this year alone her work has been included in an exhibition at the Tiberino Memorial Museum (Phila.) and two separate exhibits in City Hall, including the current 'Green Exhibit,' open through January 2009.
Michelle is delighted to help FMWR because she remembers (not so) fondly wading boats into the frigid water due to lack of a proper dock and the endless fundraising erg-a-thons: she's proud to support Mary Washington and the fantastic rowers and families who are a part of this team!
